Purpose

The purpose of our Kindergarten and Nursery School is to provide a nurturing Christian environment in which children may develop intellectually, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Class Offerings

U Head teachers for each class hold degrees in education, and

   assistant teachers are also trained to work with pre-school

   children.

U Classes begin the first Wednesday after Labor Day.

U Each class offers...

  • Home visit before school opens in September

  • Special Day for every child during the year

  • Thanksgiving Feast (school-wide)

Kindergarten

Class size limited to 16 with two teachers

 

Individual and small group instruction

 

A Beka Book

Reading and language curriculum which features a phonetic approach

Box-It, Bag-It

Mathematics curriculum which features a hands-on, experiential approach

Daily Calendar Time

Incorporates math and language skills

God's Caring, Sharing Friend

Year-long emphasis on each child's uniqueness, showing how each is a "special child of God."

Large and fine motor development

 

Daily Group Time (reading, singing, poetry, weekly Show & Tell)
