Special Music Opportunities Available!

Dr. Barry is always looking for new and/or additional FUMC members to share their music talents in the form of Special Music for the 8:45 and 11:00 worship services.  An especially advantageous time to do so would be during the summer, when a good variety of music is needed to fill up the various Sundays of June, July and August.  Any adult musicians, middle/high school students or parents of children currently taking lessons and have pieces ready to play and who are interested in available dates and additional information, please contact Dr. Barry by calling the church office (886-0277) or emailing him at bwilliamson@fumchopkinsville.org.  Plenty of spots are currently available, so please DO contact Dr. Barry as soon as possible!  For the remaining Sundays in June, we are pleased to have special music scheduled by Mandy Hayes, flute; Elizabeth Hunter, piano; Betty Sayre, Sarah Cavanah and Tracy Wood, hand bell trio, and Lori Williamson and Jeremy Easley, soprano/tenor duet.

Upcoming Chancel Choir Rehearsal Schedule

Regular Chancel Choir rehearsals will continue on Wednesdays June 18 and 25 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. downstairs in the choir room.  On July 2, 9, 16 and 23, there will be NO rehearsal, but the choir will meet at 10:30 Sunday mornings to rehearse and prepare for 11:00 a.m. worship.  Regular rehearsals will resume at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30.

Dr. Barry wishes to reiterate that any and all high school students and adults not currently members of the choir are encouraged and welcome to come and sing for the summer.  All voice types are needed, and much wonderful music is planned!  No need to do anything except come to the choir room for either Wednesday evening or Sunday morning rehearsal during the summer months.
